Bondtech DDX For Creality 3D printers

The Bondtech DDX Direct Drive eXtruder for Creality 3D Printers is an upgrade kit that replaces the original Bowden extruder with a direct drive setup. It is a high performance extruder with dual drive gear based on the BMG extruder.

Compatibility with multiple hotends

This model was created to be compatible with the original hotend of each Creality model. Owners can also upgrade the hotend to Copperhead or Mosquito.

Use of a levelling sensor with the DDX

The DDX was designed so that the levelling sensor can be attached to the X-Carriage. For models that do not have space to attach a bed probe like the BLTouch to the X-Carriage, a bracket can be printed and attached to the right side of the DDX.

Bondtech's unique dual-drive technology in combination with the factory hotend or, for even better performance, the industry-leading Copperhead or Mosquito hotends from Slice-Engineering offers you a direct drive extruder with easy material feed and allows you to use a wider range of materials. The housing parts are printed with PA12 (polyamide) for maximum strength and precision using industrial-grade SLS technology.

Make your 3D printer even better

The Bondtech DDX Direct Drive eXtruder for Creality offers the user more options of different materials; higher flow and/or larger nozzles; thinner layers - and achieve a higher print quality. The DDX is based on the BMG Bondtech Mini Geared Extruder with the unique dual-drive technology. The DDX housing design offers effective hot-end cooling. With the gear ratio of 3: 1, high-resolution prints can be achieved with small nozzles or high flow prints with larger nozzles.

Easy to set up

For ease of setup, the kit is attached to the carriage with just 2 screws.

Upgrade with CR-10 Max

With the CR-10 Max, the Z-height is limited to 430 mm to 455 mm instead of the original 470. This is due to the higher position of the push fitting on the extruder, which forces the Bowden to flex under the top rod at a lower level. Use the Z (Height) parameter under Machine Settings in the Slicer to reflect this lower limit. Choose the lower value and test.
