Revell Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner

The Boeing 787 is a newly designed double-jet wide-body aircraft that offers airlines a new level of cost-efficiency. It is the first airliner with a fuselage that mainly consists of carbon fibre reinforced composites. Operating costs are 10% lower than a Boeing 767, which is achieved through lower fuel consumption and a weight saving of 20%. Two engine types are available, the RR Trent 1000 and the GEnx. The first flight took place on December 15, 2009 and delivery is expected for the end of 2011. The aircraft order list shows 840 orders for this revolutionary new commercial aircraft.
