Product information & technical details

Description

The USS Constitution was the first US Navy ship to enter service. The ship was nicknamed Old Ironside during the war of 1812. The cannon bombardment of the English warship HMS Guerriere bounced off the sidewalls of the constitution as if they were made of iron and not hardwood. The cannons of the Constitution then destroyed the Guerriere. Throughout her seafaring, she was never boarded by enemies. The Constitution can still be viewed in the port of Boston today. It is anchored there as a symbol of the young nation.
