The assembly takes place in four simple steps:
- Position the threaded insert in the hole in the component
- Heat the thread insert (ideally to the hot-end temperature of the filament)
- Slide the threaded insert into the hole provided
- Let the component cool down to ensure its final strength
A soldering iron is required to assemble the threaded inserts.
Questions & Answers about 3DJAKE Threaded Inserts (50-piece set)
Are the M8 versions coarse or fine thread?
Is it absolutely cadmium and lead free? Thanks for reply
Where do I get 3D-CAD-data for all the insert from?
Do I need an M5 size threaded rod to fit the M5 size threaded insert?
The M5 insert corresponds to an M5 thread, same goes for the others M3 for M3 threads etc.
The actual size of the insert is larger though.
Can these be used in wood?
Not well, the threads are not designed to cut into wood but to melt into plastic.
I want to use threaded inserts in acrylic. Do you know what the resistance (lb/kg) of these inserts to pulling out and is your BondTech version better in this respect?
This depends on the material with which the inserts are used. I'm afraid we don't have any information on this.
