LW-PET Natural, 1,75 mm / 1000 g

colorFabb LW-PET is a lightweight copolyester filament with active foaming technology, adjustable density and very low warping. You can control weight through printing temperature rather than adjusting wall thickness or infill: the hotter the nozzle, the more the material foams and the lighter the printed part becomes.

Control weight through temperature

The material starts to expand at around 210 °C, with foaming increasing up to approximately 260 °C. Adjusting the temperature and flow rate lets you control the final weight of your part. Lower temperatures produce denser parts, while higher temperatures create significantly lighter structures.

Lighter and more flexible

Foaming reduces more than just weight. As density decreases, the material also becomes more flexible. This is useful for thin-walled structures where a rigid material would add unnecessary weight.

Easy to print

LW-PET can be printed at relatively low temperatures and remains printable up to 300 °C. Its wide printing temperature range and very low warping also make it suitable for larger models where dimensional accuracy matters.

The filament excels wherever every gram counts, including drones, RC components and other lightweight structures. It is equally suited to vases and lampshades, where the foamed surface creates a distinctive look.
