Multicolour printing with Canvas

Multicolour printing with Canvas allows you to switch between up to four colours quickly and effortlessly. The system supports automatic filament loading, intelligent filament backup and RFID detection, which automatically identifies filament types and properties. Suitable print parameters are suggested instantly, making multicolour printing not only easier, but significantly more reliable.

CoreXY architecture with rigid construction

Thanks to its CoreXY system, the Centauri Carbon 2 delivers higher speeds and greater precision. Two powerful 4260 stepper motors independently control the X and Y axes, while low-friction metal linear rails ensure exceptionally smooth and fast motion.

The integrated die-cast aluminium frame with a reinforced chassis effectively minimises vibrations, even at high speeds. The result is stable, quiet performance and consistent print quality—ideal for stress-free high-speed printing.

350 °C high-temperature nozzle for maximum material versatility

To support a wide range of materials, the Centauri Carbon 2 is equipped with a hardened steel high-temperature nozzle rated up to 350 °C. It offers excellent wear resistance, consistent extrusion and is suitable for both standard filaments and demanding high-performance materials.

Intelligent enclosed chamber temperature control

Advanced temperature management ensures optimal conditions inside the build chamber at all times. A newly developed louvre system automatically regulates airflow by opening or closing vents depending on the material in use. When printing PLA, the chamber temperature is actively reduced, while technical filaments benefit from a stable, enclosed environment.

Fine details and smooth surface quality

Vibration compensation and Pressure Advance work in precise coordination to reduce oscillations and maintain accurate material flow. The result is clean first layers, smooth surfaces and finely detailed prints—even at higher printing speeds.

Fast and accurate auto bed levelling

The upgraded automatic levelling system uses four high-precision sensors in combination with a new zoned levelling mode. This enables faster and more accurate calibration, improving overall efficiency by approximately 13.9%.

Intuitive touchscreen operation

The Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 is controlled via a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen, offering smartphone-like responsiveness and ease of use. With support for 11 languages, even beginners can get started quickly and confidently, without a steep learning curve.
