Description

eSUN ePLA-LW was specially developed for model aircraft construction. The interlayer adhesion is stable, and the foaming speed and strength can be controlled by adjusting the printing temperature. Using active foam technology to create lightweight, low-density PLA parts, the foam volume ratio is 220% and the density is only 0.54 g/cm³. Foaming makes the layer pattern almost invisible, and the surface of the model is matte and fine. At the same model and speed, the lightweight PLA allows the model aircraft to have less wing load and stall speed, which can greatly improve the performance of the model aircraft.

Note: Please make sure to print the first print layer at the same speed as the rest of the model.

Since most printers with PTFE hotends should not be operated above 250 °C for a long time, always pay attention to the maximum operating temperature of your 3D printer, as long-term printing above this temperature can lead to blocking.

Yellowing of printed parts after high-temperature foaming is normal. Reducing the print temperature can help.

Since the ePLA-LW foams continuously in the melting chamber of the high-temperature nozzle, the retraction basically does not work. Stringing can therefore occur. It is recommended to print the RC models in vase mode to reduce the effect of stringing.

The foam ratio of the material depends on the temperature, the printing speed and the size of the melt cavity of the nozzle. Be sure to compare the wall thickness of the model design according to your own printing situation, and adjust the extrusion rate, temperature, speed and other parameters.
