Description
Fiberlogy Impact PLA is a technical filament that combines the mechanical strengths of ABS with the uncomplicated printing behaviour of classic PLA. Users benefit from the usual simple and safe processing, without a heated build chamber and without unpleasant odours, but at the same time receive significantly more robust printing results.
Compared to standard PLA, Impact PLA impresses with its noticeably increased impact strength and improved heat resistance. Components made from this material are significantly more resistant to cracks, impacts and breakage while retaining a high level of detail on the print surface. This makes the filament particularly suitable for applications that require both mechanical strength and a clean print image.
Typical areas of application: Impact PLA shows its strengths above all in functional prototypes, mechanically stressed components and large-format workpieces and tools. The material delivers reliable results even under demanding operating conditions, making it a practical alternative to ABS.
Properties of Fiberlogy Impact PLA at a glance:
- high impact strength, significantly above standard PLA,
- improved heat resistance,
- high resistance to breakage and cracking,
- excellent detail accuracy with clean surfaces,
- easy processing like standard PLA,
- no heated installation space required,
- ABS-like properties without its processing disadvantages.

Glitter
Nice color with glitter (sparkle) inside. Just a bit less strong than non-glitter PETG filament (which is normal for sparkly filament). Good accuracy. I don't like the spool because you can't lock the filament where you want and its bulky.

Fiberlogy impact PLA
I really like this filament. Prints fast and clean with a 0.6 nozzle at 240C Hotend and 60C bed. Adhesion good to PEI textured build surface. The properties are great. It is about 50% stiffer than the PET-G I usually use. It is stronger and it has plenty of ductility ( I run out of travel on the 3 point bend test set up I currently use). The down side is temperature resistance. As printed the material softens at 55-60C. But the big plus and the reason really like this material is it anneals well. I take a large pan of water up to 70-80C, take it off the heat and drop the prints in (bare parts no bag). Then just let the water cool to 45C. This gets the temp resistance up 110C and a gives a bit of improvement in mechanic performance. The shrinkage in plane is 1.5-2% and the expansion out of plane is about 1% warpage from the heat treatment was minimal. I am still experimenting with this filament so you may get different results. Give it a try - Happy printing!
