Description
presto Aluminium Putty is a two-component polyester metal filler with aluminium pigments, suitable for vehicle repairs, mechanical engineering and hobby use. It fills holes, levels uneven areas and reinforces thin sections on a wide range of surfaces, from metal and wood to plastic and concrete.
Composition: medium-flexible polyester resin with aluminium filler
The formula is based on a medium-flexible, highly reactive, amine-pre-accelerated polyester resin combined with fillers and aluminium pigments. The styrene-free formulation helps reduce the typical odour of conventional polyester fillers and allows for lower-emission application.
Its highly thixotropic consistency makes the filler especially easy to spread over larger areas and apply without pores. This makes working on larger surfaces much easier and reduces the need for reworking caused by air pockets or uneven layer thicknesses.
Resistant to water, road salt & mild chemicals
Once cured, the material is resistant to weak acids, weak alkalis, propellants, solvents, water and road salt. These properties also make it suitable for components that will later be exposed to weathering.
Application: fast-curing and easy to finish
After mixing with the correct amount of hardener, the surface can usually be drilled, sanded, sawn, filed and painted after around 30 to 40 minutes. Sandpaper in different grits is suitable for both preparation and finishing work.
| Note: The surface should be rust-free, clean, dry, free from grease and sanded before application. Follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions regarding hardener addition, skin contact and ventilation during mixing and application. |
