Metal Extruder Upgrade Kit Metal extruders improves performance for Ender 5 Plus
I bought this unit but it didn't work well on my Ender 5 Plus. I has to refit the original unit again as this unit was not an improvement. It damaged the filament and the screw supplied for the metal lever was the wrong length. The brass gear on the ender 5 plus I have was pressed on and the one supplied was allen key tightened. The ender 5 plus extruder stepper motor shaft did not have a flat area to tighten the screws in the brass gear against.

Upgrade extruder
Quick and easy to install. Only issue was that the teeth on the brass gear appear to be quite shallow, and some slipping was noted. I simply replaced it with the gear from my previous extruder, and the unit now operates noticeably more precisely than the original.

E-waste
The threads on the idler bearing screw came from the factory completely stripped. Had to re-tap it. Creality's poor quality control strikes again.
