Description
The Revopoint Metrohub 09T Robot 3D Scanning System is a fully integrated solution for automated 3D scanning and measurement tasks in laboratories, test environments and production lines. The system combines the collaborative Vbot 9 six-axis robotic arm with the high-precision Metrohub tracking system and the Trackit Optical Tracking 3D Scanner, creating a fully automated workflow from part capture through to evaluation. With sensitive force sensors, intuitive drag-to-teach operation and seamless integration with Revo software, the system opens up entirely new possibilities for reverse engineering, quality control and serial inspection.
Automated robotic scanning
The collaborative Metrohub enables fully automated 3D capture and measurement of entire series of components. Thanks to the integrated force sensors, the system detects even the slightest contact and stops immediately in the event of a potential collision. This allows you to work safely and productively side by side with the robotic arm, without the need for separate safety zones or protective fencing.
Automate complex scans with ease
The flexible Vbot 9 six-axis robotic arm, combined with the Trackit Optical Tracking 3D Scanner, can capture even complex geometries with diameters up to 0.5 m automatically. The combination of precise motion control and optical tracking ensures reliable point clouds at every scan position.
- Volumetric accuracy: 0.025 mm + 0.04 mm x L (m),
- Freedom of movement: 6-axis, ±360° movement range.
Real-time high-speed inspection
With 30 crossed blue laser lines and a measurement rate of up to 1.5 million measurements per second, the Metrohub system integrates seamlessly into existing production lines. Marker-free tracking enables efficient automated inspection without the need to prepare parts with reference points. The result is significantly improved inspection and production efficiency.
6-axis force sensing for maximum precision
The Vbot 9 features integrated 6-axis force sensing, providing the robot with ultra-sensitive real-time force feedback. This enables the system to respond dynamically to external influences, apply precise force control and carry out highly accurate, complex manipulation tasks.
Intuitive drag-to-teach programming
The drag-to-teach function makes robot programming extremely simple. Instead of writing complex lines of code, you manually guide the robotic arm through the desired movement sequence. The system stores the positions and repeats them precisely. This allows even beginners to configure complex scanning sequences within minutes.
Plug-and-play 3D automation
The system offers three intuitive ways to create scan paths:
- Drag-to-teach: manual teaching by moving the robot,
- CAD-to-path: automatic path creation from existing CAD data,
- Vision-to-path: camera-based path generation using the detected part.
This significantly reduces programming effort and allows complex scan routines to be created quickly, flexibly and accurately.
Full integration with Revo software
The Robot 3D Scanning System is seamlessly integrated into the Revo software suite:
- Revo Measure: automatic CAD import, mesh and point cloud comparison with CAD data, one-click GD&T measurements;
- Revo Design: seamless scan-to-CAD workflow for fast and accurate reverse engineering.
This means the system covers the complete process from 3D capture and evaluation through to design in one continuous software environment.
Calibration in just 25 minutes
Instead of relying on lengthy, error-prone calibration processes, the system uses automatic multi-pose calibration between Trackit and Vbot. Full calibration is completed in just 25 minutes, with no human error sources and with reliable, repeatable results.
Safety integrated into the design
Thanks to 1N force sensitivity, the Vbot 9 can detect even the slightest contact and stops immediately. This allows you to work directly next to the robot without safety fences or separate zones.
Open software interface for third-party applications
The TCP/IP software control protocol allows the system to be easily integrated into existing control software and automation environments. Ideal for manufacturing automation, inspection, batch 3D scanning and customised applications in research and production.
Detachable & flexible
The 3D scanner is detachable and can be used independently for manual applications. This means the system not only provides an automated solution, but also the flexibility of a mobile handheld scanner for specialist tasks.
