IDEX system for high-speed printing

Unlike other 3D printers that are equipped with a single extruder, Snapmaker's innovative J1 works with two independently acting print heads (IDEX - Independent Dual Extruder), which can print two models from different materials at the same time. The device achieves a maximum printing speed of even 350 mm/s and acceleration values of an incredible 10 m/s²!

Robust construction for high-quality prints

The elegant outer frame made of an aluminium alloy and with a matt finish makes the 3D printer a special feature that will delight every 3D lover.

But J1 doesn't just look good: Its upper and lower frames, which are manufactured using the die-casting process, are characterised by outstanding robustness and rigidity. The aluminium alloy lower structure guarantees higher heat dissipation; high-precision linear rails and the precision-machined belts ensure a high-quality, industrial-grade printer.

Closed housing for stable internal temperatures and quiet printing experiences

The closed body of the J1 prevents heat from being lost, which means that materials such as ABS or nylon do not warp. With a noise level of 45 dB, closed-case printing is much quieter and more pleasant to the outside world!

User-friendly touch screen

The intuitive and extremely user-friendly touchscreen has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It supports file preview, calibration and printer setting change without using slicer software.

Easy calibration

Manually calibrating an IDEX 3D printer can be a tedious and time consuming process. The J1 offers an intelligent and fully automatic solution for precise calibration - the Z-offset calibration. Both extruders can complete the calibration within a very short time when touching the heating bed, which contains built-in electronics. You only get one task: follow the instructions on the touch screen and turn the right extruder wheel!

PEI glass plate for easy removal of the models

A specially manufactured PEI glass plate ensures excellent adhesion of the models. After the printed models cool down, they can be easily removed from the plate.

Parallel printing with two print heads in combination with different materials

The unique 3D printer not only allows the parallel printing of two objects or the printing of a multi-part model as a whole, but also the practical combination of two materials with different mechanical properties.

For example, combining a material with the dissolvable PVA results in much stronger support structures and clean interfaces, which automatically reduces the need for post-processing. Another advantage is the fact that IDEX 3D printing takes less time to change the filament.

Mirror print and backup mode

J1 has extremely useful functions. On the one hand, it allows mirror-inverted printing using a second extruder, making printing symmetrical objects easier than ever! The backup mode function allows printing to continue even if an extruder cannot print because it is prevented by clogging. In this case, the second extruder automatically takes over the print job and achieves perfect results even then!

With just a few clicks you can prepare your 3D models for printing - using Snapmaker's free slicer software! Its well-thought-out parameters and settings are suitable not only for beginners but also for professional users! A G-code preview allows you to view your 3D models before they are printed. Quite handy, isn't it?
