Description
3DJake ecoPLA is the ideal filament for anyone who prints frequently and values consistent quality. Made from PLA (polylactic acid), a biodegradable plastic, this material has been slightly enhanced for 3D printing applications. The result is a filament that performs reliably, is easy to process, and remains economical - the perfect all-rounder for everyday printing.
During printing, ecoPLA delivers everything that makes PLA so popular: effortless handling, clean results, and a smooth workflow. With minimal shrinkage and low warping, prints adhere securely to the build plate and retain their shape even during long print jobs. Thanks to precise diameter and roundness tolerances, the filament feeds evenly through the extruder, ensuring consistent and dependable results.
ecoPLA produces virtually no odour, making it ideal for home or office use. At the same time, it’s tougher and less brittle than conventional PLA, reducing the risk of breakage and making your printed parts more durable for everyday use.
Key features of 3DJake ecoPLA:
- Minimal shrinkage,
- Low warping,
- Excellent diameter and roundness tolerances,
- No unpleasant odours,

Translucent colour looks cool, but inconsistencies in prints due to filament quality.

Wonderful bright transparent neon, but very hard to print.
Rated with 3 out of 5 stars.
I tested this filament on an Original Prusa i3 MK3S+ with the default settings for generic PLA.
Like many other transparent PLA filaments, the filament is very hard to print. The adhesion of the filament on the print bed is not great, even though I used the temperatures as specified.
The colour of the filament is better, as shown in the photo. The neon orange is more intense, and the transparency gives a beautiful look.
With a lot of fine-tuning of the temperature settings, it is possible to print the material just fine. But I generally favour easier-to-handle filaments that print more consistently.
