Description
The ecoPLA has been slightly modified to make it perfect for 3D printing.
PLA (polylactic acid) is a non-toxic biodegradable 3D printing material.
3DJake ecoPLA is the cheap & high-quality alternative for many printers.
PLA is one of the most popular 3D printing materials due to its features, good printability and ease of use.
3DJake ecoPLA properties:
- Minimal shrinkage
- Low warping
- Good diameters &circularity tolerance
- Zero unpleasant odours
- Easy to print
- Tougher & less brittle than conventional PLA filaments
3DJake ecoPLA filament can be used with nearly all FDM 3D printers.
All ecoPLA colours are based on the standardized RAL colour system:
EcoPLA white - RAL9003

Good value and good colour.
Rated with 4 out of 5 stars.
This is a very good value pla. The white colour is strong and not milky or translucent like so many other brands out there. It doesn't handle printing at very fast speeds over a large area very well, I was printing a bottom layer that was 160mmx110mm and and printing over 150mms would cause the filament to snap as it was printing. I know most printers won't print at those speeds so it won't be an issue but for those of you that do, you'll need to remember to turn down your max speed. Great filament otherwise and i will be buying some more when needed.

originally 5 stars, now 3
Rated with 3 out of 5 stars.
To being with i gave rated this with 5 stars, its easy to print and looks great. However after a few months of being stored it only prints very poorly. I assume this is due to having absorbed moisture? However all my other filaments print just fine and have been stored the same way, so this one seems to be very sensitive. If you buy it make sure you keep it sealed air tight between prints!

Awful
Rated with 2 out of 5 stars.
I raved about the black version of this to the extent of recommending it to others, what a mistake!
I bought the white thinking it would be a similar experience, however its been a complete nightmare! It just doesn't stick to the bed. Prusa mk3s and ender 3 pro are both having bed adhesion issues regardless of what print bed type I use. So far setting the first layer nozzle temp @ 230 works but after a while it eventually comes away from the bed. I've tried a raft of other settings on both printers without success. A glue stick seems to help me get a print, however this shouldn't be necessary with PLA.
Other filaments I use from a variety of suppliers print fine.
Won't be buying anymore ecoPLA from 3djake. I can't take the chance of wasting any more money, essentially when other suppliers provide a better product at the same price or less. Was this review helpful? (2) (0)

I wouldn't consider our standard ecoPLA as a PLA+. Beyond plasticisers and dyes there are no further modifications made to it. If you're interested in a non-standard finish on PLA I would suggest looking at our ecoPLA satin range and our ecoPLA Matte range.
