Description

RADDS stands for "RepRap Arduino Due Driver Shield" and is similar to the ramps 1.4.

Features:

  • 6 motor driver e.g. 3 axes and 3 extruder (equipped with 2 drivers with double headers for parallel operation of 2 motors, e.g. z-axis)
  • 6 high-current loads including: a heating board, 3 hotend heaters and 2 fans
  • Micro-SD slot on the board
  • Standard LCD (5 V) with, for example 4x20 (compatible with the Controller HD44780) rotary encoder with push button
  • Rotary encoder with push button
  • Reset and Back button
  • 6 Endstop connections (3 x min. and 3 x max.)
  • 5 thermistors and an ADC without a series resistor (e.g. heater board temperature, 3 x hotend temperature, pressure room temperature)
  • 3 servos (external power is required, 3.3V PWM)
  • I2C, SPI, CAN, DAC, RS232 and 8 digital pins are accessible via pin headers

Other Highlights:

  • EEPROM, since the Due is not available - unlike with Mega
  • Control LEDs for power supply and high-current loads
  • Freewheeling diodes of the FETs
  • Automotive fuses instead of imprecise thermal fuses
  • Endurance of the heated FET lies at least 15 A without a cooling surface
  • High-quality screw terminals
  • Connects Endstops, LCD, thermistors and SD card possibe using the insulation displacement connectors and ribbon cables
  • Operates with 10-25 V
