If I was to upgrade my creality printer to a direct drive would this motor upgrade just be plug and play?

Hi, i have changed my Ender 3 to a Direct Drive system but looking for a lighter stepper motor for it would this work for my Direct Drive Extruder? Thanks in Advance

  I'm assuming you upgraded to the Micro-Swiss direct drive upgrade? If so then this motor is not suitable because the shaft is round, you need one that has a flat side for the gear to be attached. Luckily we have one right here: https://www.3djake.uk/bondtech/nema17-pancake-stepper-22mm
Will this work with a microswiss hotend and direct drive kit

  No the shaft needs to be flat to fit the MS gear. This one is suitable though: www.3djake.uk/bondtech/nema17-pancake-stepper-22mm
Does this motor really have a designed running voltage of 2.9 Vdc/phase (from the spec sheet)? Are you sure it isn't higher, maybe 12 Volts?

  It is correct, the stepper drivers will cut the voltage from the power supply's 12/24v to a voltage that is suitable for stepper motors.

  The drive gear on the Micro Swiss direct drive kit require a tapered motor shaft which this motor doesn't have but we have a suitable one here: https://www.3djake.uk/bondtech/nema17-pancake-stepper-22mm
