Freely designed and limitlessly expandable
bq has designed a 100% open sources scanner, the Ciclop. Like all products by bq Ecosystems, the Cyclop with Horus also runs with the CC-BY-SA and GPL licence. The complete construction plans and technical details are openly available to the community. The goal is not only that the operating process is learned and understood, the members of the community are able to each contribute to making changes and improvements.
Bq relies on free knowledge and would like to contribute to the development of these devices.
Simple assembly and bq software
The ciclop is a rotation laser scanner with 3D triangulation. Two linear lasers are transferred to the object to capture the geometry and structure of the particular object. The basis for this is the hub.
The 3D scanner Ciclop is specially designed for easy installation. The set contains all the assembly parts and instructions that are necessary to gradually build the ciclop.
The software Horus was developed by bq. It is a multi-platform application using GPL licensing. Horus can be calibrated, adjusted and scanned.
