Creality Air Purifier for FDM Printers

The Creality Air Purifier in the FDM Version is Creality’s first professional air purification system designed specifically for 3D printing and tailored to the requirements of FDM printers. It combines powerful multi-stage filtration with smart touch control and a real-time air quality display, creating a noticeably cleaner and more pleasant working environment, whether you are printing with PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA or technical filaments.

Unlike normal household air purifiers, the Creality Air Purifier is specifically designed to filter ultrafine particles, VOCs and typical printing odours produced during FDM printing. Its 360° all-round intake concept quickly and evenly captures pollutants from the entire working area before they can spread throughout the room.

High-efficiency multi-stage filtration

According to the manufacturer, the carefully matched filter system removes up to 99.97% of airborne particles and VOCs. The individual filter stages work seamlessly together:

• G4 pre-filter: captures up to 95% of larger particles such as dust, filament fibres and plastic residue;
• H11 HEPA filter: removes 99.97% of particles from 0.3 µm on a generous filter surface, 2.8 m²;
• High-density activated carbon filter layer: approximately three times denser than standard activated carbon filters, specially designed to absorb PLA, ABS and ASA odours;
• V-fold activated carbon filter: increased contact area for more intensive absorption of VOCs, aldehydes and other chemical emissions;

The FDM Version is specifically optimised for the emission profiles of classic FDM materials such as PLA, PETG, ABS and ASA.

360° all-round purification with turbo airflow

A powerful motor delivers an airflow rate of up to 250 m³/h, suction power of 1700 Pa and air speed of up to 20 m/s. The well-designed all-round intake geometry ensures that pollutants are captured directly at the source and that the full filter capacity is used. According to the manufacturer, up to 98% of the filter surface is actively utilised.

Real-time PM2.5 display

Thanks to a dedicated sensor, the integrated display shows the current fine dust level, PM2.5, in real time. This lets you see at a glance how clean the air in your working area is and when purification performance is needed most. It also provides practical visual feedback on the device’s cleaning performance.

Smart touch control

The integrated control panel makes the Air Purifier easy to operate. Fan speed, operating mode and filter status can all be managed conveniently at any time. The well-designed user interface makes operation intuitive, even without technical knowledge.

Long filter service life

The filters are designed for efficient continuous operation:

• standard filter: up to 1,000 operating hours,
• V-fold activated carbon filter: up to 1,500 operating hours.

This reduces both running costs and downtime during maintenance.

Compatible with most FDM 3D printers

The Air Purifier can be flexibly positioned next to or underneath your FDM printer and works with both open and enclosed printers. Thanks to the plug-and-play setup, no complex installation is required. This also makes it ideal if you operate several printers at the same time or run a small print farm.

Installation instructions

If you have purchased the FDM Version of the Air Purifier, please follow the installation steps below:

(1) Attach the angled connector, elbow pipe, to the Air Purifier.

(2) Attach the extraction funnel to one end of the corrugated hose.

(3) Connect the other end of the corrugated hose to the previously installed angled connector on the Air Purifier.

(4) Adjust the hose by bending or rotating it so that the extraction funnel is positioned close to your printer’s nozzle or the ventilation slot of the printer housing.

Note: Make sure the extraction funnel is positioned outside the movement range of the printer components to avoid collisions.
