Description

These high-quality titanium heat breaks are an upgrade of the stainless steel heat breaks that are included as standard with E3D V6 hot ends. Since V5, the manufacturing processes for all E3D HeatBreaks have been revised in order to achieve a better internal surface quality than ever before. The improved internal surface finish helps to reduce the extrusion force and improve reliability during retractions. They are able to provide reliable high temperature performance for many years, but are somewhat more sensitive due to their fine machining.

These special heat breaks are also made of grade 5 titanium. This material is exceptionally strong and has a lower thermal conductivity than stainless steel, so that you can keep the cool side of your hot end even cooler. This creates a more defined melting zone within the hot side, creating better extrusion control. The increased strength of these heat breaks makes them less likely to break, either when installing or in the event of accidental collisions with a printed part or print bed.
