Description

Equipped with a tip made of 99.9 % high-purity silicon carbide, the Phaetus PMK8 SiC (Silicon Carbide) nozzle can withstand even the toughest filaments - whether abrasive carbon fibre material or heat-resistant PEEK - at constant temperatures of up to 550 °C in continuous use! The exceptionally high thermal conductivity of the silicon carbide tip ensures rapid heating and stable temperature control.

The entire MK8 nozzle is finished with a special DLC coating (Diamond-Like Carbon) to ensure that it continues to deliver top performance in the long term. This ultra-hard protective coating minimises friction, prevents filament from sticking to the nozzle and protects the surface from corrosion and wear.

With an impressive Mohs hardness of 9.8, this nozzle is also up to 7 times more durable than comparable nozzles made of hardened steel!

► The MK8 nozzle supports standard materials such as PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, but is also suitable for printing composite materials used in industrial applications (e.g. CF, GF, steel, wood, tungsten, boron carbide, etc.).
