Description

Prusament PETG Ultraglow is a high-performance, PETG-based glow-in-the-dark filament that achieves exceptional luminosity due to its particularly high concentration of strontium aluminate. After being charged with UV or visible light, the material glows very intensely at first and remains visible in dark environments for up to 6–8 hours.

By using PETG, this filament offers higher mechanical resilience and improved temperature resistance compared to traditional PLA glow materials. At the same time, it maintains reliable printability, allowing for the creation of both high-precision and functional components.

Prusament PETG Ultraglow is especially suitable for markings, control elements, housing parts, or safety-related applications where specific components must remain visible even in low-light conditions. When combined with other materials, it can be used to integrate targeted glowing highlights into functional printed parts.

PETG Ultraglow is a highly abrasive filament. The high strontium aluminate content leads to increased wear on nozzles and other mechanical components. Therefore, the use of a hardened nozzle is strongly recommended, though even hardened components may wear out faster with regular use.

For stable printing results, a larger nozzle diameter of at least 0.6 mm is recommended to prevent clogging and optimise material flow. Furthermore, standard hotends often deliver more reliable results than high-flow variants.

Although PETG is relatively insensitive to moisture, drying the filament after prolonged storage can significantly improve print quality and reduce typical issues such as stringing or inconsistent material flow.

Key Features of Prusa Prusament PETG Ultraglow Green:

  • PETG-based glow-in-the-dark filament.
  • High concentration of strontium aluminate (instead of phosphorus) for maximum luminosity.
  • Glow duration of up to 6–8 hours after charging.
  • Rechargeable via UV and visible light.
  • Higher strength and temperature resistance than PLA glow filaments.
  • Good printability despite the high content of additives.
  • Ideal for functional parts with visibility in the dark; perfect for markings, switches, handles, and safety applications.
