Description

Prusa Prusament TPU 95A is a flexible filament with a Shore hardness of 95A, high resistance to chemicals and moisture, and an unusually precise diameter for a flexible material. It is suitable for elastic, impact-resistant parts that retain their shape and function even in cold conditions or under continuous mechanical stress.

Elastic even at freezing temperatures

While many flexible filaments become brittle in the cold, the manufacturer states that TPU 95A retains its elasticity and impact strength down to −50°C. This makes the material suitable for outdoor parts, cooling applications and anything that needs to flex rather than break, even in winter.

Improved chemical resistance thanks to a different molecular structure

TPU 95A is based on an ether diol instead of the ester diol commonly used in flexible filaments. This results in lower moisture absorption, higher hydrolysis resistance and good chemical resistance to oil and grease. The material is also resistant to microbial degradation.

The key benefits at a glance

  • 95 Shore A hardness for flexible yet resilient parts,
  • elasticity and impact strength maintained down to −50°C,
  • high hydrolysis and chemical resistance thanks to its ether diol structure,
  • very low moisture absorption,
  • precise diameter with ±0.06 mm tolerance,
  • optimised for the Nextruder (MK4/S, CORE One, XL).

Technical specifications:

Shore hardness 95A
Diameter 1.75 mm (±0.06 mm)
Nozzle temperature 230°C ± 10°C
Bed temperature 65°C ± 10°C
Print speed up to 30 mm/s
Cooling 30–50%
Heat deflection temperature (HDT) 78.6°C at 1.80 MPa
Low-temperature elasticity down to −50°C

Who is Prusament TPU 95A designed for?

This filament is intended for anyone who wants to print functional flexible parts with consistent quality, such as seals, grips, protective covers or components that come into contact with oils and greases. Anyone who has struggled with imprecise flexible filament before will find a material here that can be processed reliably on a direct-drive extruder such as the Nextruder, without requiring major adjustments.
