Revell U.S.S. Missouri

The USS MISSOURI was selected for the location of the handover ceremony. General Douglas MacArthur presided as commander-in-chief of the Allied Powers. After the signing, a memorial plaque was placed on the deck of the "Mighty Mo", which reads: "On this spot, the instrument for the formal handover of Japan to the Allied Powers was signed on September 2, 1945, bringing the Second World War to a close".
