Description

The Snapmaker 2.0 is an innovative 3-in-1 3D printer, which, in addition to 3D printing, is also characterised by the possibilities of laser engraving and CNC milling. It is therefore equipped with everything you need to give free rein to the creative spirit of design.

Features of the Snapmaker 2.0

  • High Resolution

Thanks to its precision parts and the improved design, the Snapmaker 2.0 prints, engraves, cuts and carves continuously in high resolution with a repeat accuracy of 0.005 mm and homing repeatability of 0.01 mm.

  • Powerful controller

With the help of the CAN bus extension solution (Controlled Area Network), which is widely used in the vehicle industry, different tool heads, add-ons, various linear modules and other functions are supported with just one upgraded controller.

  • All-metal design

All modules and main components of the Snapmaker 2.0 are made of high-strength metal and are therefore designed for a long service life. Aluminium alloys are also used for the controller board and the power supply to guarantee better heat dissipation.
Original POM rollers have been upgraded to steel rollers and thus achieve a higher load-bearing capacity and rigidity.

  • User-friendly 3-in-1 software

The 3-in-1 software Luban was specially tailored for Snapmaker devices and is updated monthly in order to be able to meet all user requirements.

  • WiFi connectivity

With the WLAN function and a USB connection, the Snapmaker can be conveniently operated. Models can easily be uploaded and printed via WLAN or USB drive. The firmware can also be updated directly via WLAN.

  • Intelligent touch screen

An intelligent 5-inch touchscreen with a Quad Core A7 CPU with 1.1 GHz and Android operating system simplifies the workflow of the projects and enables management directly on the screen.

  • Recovery after power failure

In the event of a power failure, the interrupted project can easily be restored and resumed without affecting the quality of the end result.

  • Easy assembly

The Snapmaker kit can be easily assembled within 20 minutes.

The modular 3-in-1 3D printer is suitable for both beginners and advanced users who expect more individual options from their 3D printer, and engineers and designers who want to create larger models and precise objects of excellent quality.

  • Numerous materials
    The Snapmaker 2.0 can be used to process filaments for general applications, but also materials with abrasive, flexible or mechanical properties.

  • Automatic levelling
    To make levelling the print bed easier, the Snapmaker 2.0 includes an automatic levelling function in which an induction sensor scans the bed in a grid and applies a mesh-based compensation. This guarantees perfect printing on a flat bed.

  • Recovery of filament runout
    The 3D printer is equipped with a filament outlet sensor that detects when the filament is used up and shows this on the touchscreen. Thus, the print can be resumed immediately as soon as new filament is inserted.

  • Improved cooling system
    With the Snapmaker 2.0, you get great results with a smooth surface when printing models with deep overhangs. The corresponding cooling is just as important as heating. That is why the cooling system was redesigned to cool the print efficiently.

  • Flexible platform
    With the flexible print platform, removing the print model is easier than ever. The heat bed uses a magnetic design so the build plate can be easily removed and reattached. It only takes a minute to swap the printing plate with the CNC or laser worktop.


→ Laser engraving and cutting

With an exchangeable module, the 3D printer quickly and easily becomes a laser engraver, with which paper, plywood, leather, acrylic, cardboard, fabric and even food such as cookies or coconuts can be engraved and cut. → Laser engraving and cutting

  • Integrated camera
    An integrated camera is a practical highlight of the laser. It allows a preview of the design on the selected material so that the design can be edited and precisely positioned.

  • Fast engraving
    Faster is better. That is why the laser of the Snapmaker 2.0 has the line mode (normal quality) to offer a quick engraving option for grayscale images. This feature saves hours when engraving large images in grayscale. Compared to the original dot mode (high quality), the quality of the fast engraving is still very good.

  • Aluminium grid table
    A specially developed, super-strong and removable aluminium grid table prevents damage to the bed due to defocusing of the laser beam during cutting.


→ CNC milling

The existing CNC router is perfect for precisely carving and cutting hard materials such as hardwood, PCB, acrylic, POM, carbon fibre board and many more. CNC milling

  • ER11 Collet
    The Snapmaker 2.0 includes a completely redesigned CNC module that allows for better concentricity, faster CNC cutting speed and a bigger step down when using the standard ER-11 collet. That saves time. The CNC milling machine also supports over a hundred different carving and cutting tools. The bits included have a diameter of 0.5 mm to 6.35 mm.

  • Dust resistant
    Since the work spindle, driver chip and precision parts are completely protected in the enclosure, dirt deposits are eliminated. This leads to improved durability and easier maintenance of the device.

  • Waste board and clip sets
    The Snapmaker 2.0 comes with a removable MDF wasteboard that protects the bed from damage and provides a smooth surface for accurate CNC milling. The supplied clamping sets can be used to fix the materials easily and reliably.


Enclosure features

The enclosure of the Snapmaker 2.0 consists of an aircraft-grade aluminium alloy and laser-filtering acrylic sheets. Assembly is very easy as the doors are delivered pre-assembled.
During the milling or laser process, the enclosure protects against potential hazards and ensures a clean working environment. If a door is opened during the laser engraving or cutting process, the work process is automatically terminated. This can easily be continued after closing the doors via the user-friendly touchscreen.
