Product information & technical details
Description
The WIKO Adhesive and Sealant Remover is a high-performance aerosol designed for the fast and residue-free removal of adhesives and sealants, paint and lacquer residues, and a wide variety of stubborn dirt. The special formula allows for efficient detachment, even on vertical surfaces, significantly reducing the need for mechanical rework.
The product reliably dissolves firmly adhering residues such as oil, resin, grease, tar, as well as lubricating and sliding agent residues. The high cleaning performance facilitates easy further processing of the surfaces. The effect works through the active penetration of the aerosol into the layers of contamination, followed by a controlled detachment process.
► Ideal for a variety of industrial and commercial applications, particularly for workshops and manufacturing environments, for cleaning metal, wood, glass, and ceramics, and for removing sealant residues from cylinder heads, oil pans, water pumps, exhaust manifolds, valve covers, and gearbox flanges.
Note: Compatibility should be checked before use on plastic parts. Sensitive plastics such as PVC or linoleum are not suitable for this remover!
Application:
or optimal results, the product should be used at room temperature (approx. +16°C to +25°C). The substrate must be dry and free from dust. First, the can should be shaken thoroughly. Apply the aerosol from a distance of 20 to 30cm, generously, depending on the level of residues to be removed. It takes around 15-20 minutes to work. Carefully remove dissolved layers with a scraper. After cleaning, wipe the substrate with a dry or slightly moistened cloth (e.g., water, petrol, or industrial quick cleaner). Residues such as wood extracts should be wiped off immediately after stripping paint to prevent damage such as blackening.
