Description

AzureFilm PAHT Carbon Fibre is a high-temperature material based on polyamide. The high-performance material is ideal for industrial 3D printing as it is temperature resistant up to 160 ° C and can be used to print long-lasting end-user parts.

AzureFilm PAHT Carbon Fibre can also be printed in unheated chambers. The material is tough, has excellent abrasion resistance, fatigue resistance, good chemical resistance, high strength and rigidity. In addition to excellent tensile and impact strength, the material connection enables short, continuous use up to 160 ° C (service life max. 200 h). The material is fully compatible with soluble carriers such as PVA, BVOH, PVOH and fully compatible with tear-away carriers such as HIPS.

The water absorption takes about four times longer to reach the saturation point compared to unmodified PA6, and the saturation point is five times lower than with conventional PA6 materials. The thickness of the fibres inside ranges from 0.4 mm to 0.6 mm, so the nozzle diameter must be> 0.6 mm.

Use

  • The extremely smooth surface enables functional prototypes to be printed
  • Because it has exceptional mechanical properties, it can be used for various devices, tools, for various manufacturing processes, or for personal use
  • The low weight is a decisive advantage for weight reduction without losing performance
  • Compared to PLA, ABS, PETG, or even other carbon-reinforced materials, it can withstand significantly higher temperatures. The operating temperature is increased to 160 ° C (service life max. 200 h)
  • The high stiffness of the fibres themselves allows 3D printed parts to hold their shape under heavy use

Requirements for using PAHT CF filaments

  • Heated print bed
  • Hardened nozzle - Due to its abrasive structure, the filament wears out the standard brass nozzle over a short period of time. An abrasion-resistant nozzle is required for this type of filament. Since these types of nozzles tend to be less conductive than standard nozzles, higher extruder temperatures are usually recommended
  • Heated filament chamber (optional) - Always store the filament in a dry place with working temperature to ensure a consistently controlled environment for the best product quality
  • Closed Environment (Optional) - Ensuring a consistent controlled environment is a very important factor that enables a better final quality of the product, although this filament can be printed on 3D printers without a heated chamber.
