Description
Extrudr BioFusion is a new generation of excellent materials, specially designed for designers and makers who want a particularly shiny appearance on their printed parts. The temperature resistance of the material is up to 75 ° C. BioFusion is very easy to print and does not require a heated bed or enclosed space. Don't personally agree with those talking about poor layer adhesion - feels no weaker than any other PLA-based material. Wonderful glossy appearance. Prints come out nicely when following manufacturer guide (note that max. fan speed!)
As a future edit to this review, I took into consideration the fact that Extrudr market this filament as 'easy to print with'. I'll say, it's not, or at least this colour. I still disagree with the layer adhesion criticism, but achieving good *bed* adhesion with this filament for larger prints is... a bit of a calibration torture test for yourself. Imo, it's certainly one of the more finicky filaments in existence, and you might find you need to go quite a bit farther than normal PLA's. I found that, after a lot of trial and error, adding a raft/connected skirt solved virtually all printing issues with large surface area prints having corners peel off the build plate.
I'm still giving it a "good" because despite it being a pain, it's also absolutely gorgeous and has zero stringing when dialled in, which just about makes it worth it.Was this rating helpful? (0) (1)
