Description
The All Metal Hotend Kit by Micro-Swiss for the FlashForge Finder & Guider 2.
This upgrade includes a modified thermal barrier and a modified nozzle.
The thermal barrier is made of two different materials: stainless steel (bottom) and aluminum (top).
This separates the heat in the thermal barrier. By forgoing the use of PTFE in the hotend, higher temperatures can be reached.
Fits the following 3D printers:
- FlashForge Finder
- FlashForge Guider 2
Included in the set:
- 0.4mm nozzle
- thermal barrier
- 2x Jam Nuts (to remove the old hot-end)

Overated
The print quality improved and I found I could lower the extruder temperature by about 10°C. This nozzle seems to suffer from filament breakages more when using retraction. I noticed more blockages with this nozzle also compared to the original. After a few months, I had a blockage in the tube section which couldn't be cleared, and even broke a drill bit inside, so it's ruined. Pretty expensive too for a few months use.
