Description
The Prusa Accelerometer Set includes an acceleration sensor that easily measures the resonance frequencies of your Prusa printer’s X and Y axes – fine-tuning your Input Shaper for optimal performance. Thid reduces ghosting and ensures sharper print quality.
Why do you need it?
Prusa printers come factory-calibrated with finely tuned Input Shaper values – ready to print right out of the box. For most standard uses, there’s nothing else to adjust. But once you start modifying – say, swapping the Nextruder or tweaking the frame – the printer’s dynamics can shift significantly. That’s where the accelerometer comes in!
Plug & Print
The module connects to the xBuddy mainboard via the port on the back of your compatible Prusa printer. Simply attach the sensor to the printhead and heated bed, then start the Input Shaper calibration directly via the firmware. That’s it!
