Description
The Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) is a fully enclosed CoreXY 3D printer with active chamber heating up to 55 °C, a precise load-cell extruder and a build volume of 250 x 220 x 270 mm. Designed for both beginners and experienced users, it supports a wide range of materials from PLA to ASA and PC without the need for additional accessories. The second generation builds on the proven CORE One platform and adds several practical everyday improvements.
► What is new in Gen 2?
Compared with the first generation, three specific everyday printing issues have been addressed. The changes concern the build plate mounting, belts and nozzle cleaning - all areas that directly affect waiting time, surface quality and print starts.
- Faster print starts: The redesigned heated bed mounting eliminates the separate heat soak waiting time for materials with bed temperatures up to 85 °C. Even at higher temperatures, the preparation time is noticeably reduced.
- Smoother surfaces: The new GT1.5 belts reduce fine, repeating patterns (VFA) on large, smooth surfaces where even small artefacts would be visible.
- Cleaner print starts: An integrated nozzle wiper removes filament residue from the nozzle before the actual print begins. This helps prevent loose strands and small drops of plastic from ending up on the print surface.
These hardware improvements are complemented by ongoing firmware updates that make day-to-day operation even easier.
Space-saving and stylish
The all-steel exoskeleton of the Prusa CORE One+ is not only visually striking, but also a masterpiece of stability and precision. At the same time, the printer makes excellent use of space: with a footprint 50% smaller than the MK4S, it still offers a 30% larger print volume.
Thanks to its compact design, more printers can be placed in the same area - so, how about a print farm?
Prusa Nextruder quality
With the Prusa CORE One+, you can be confident that your models will look exactly as intended. The improved Nextruder with 360° cooling enables flawless printing, even with demanding 75° overhangs. It is supported by quality-focused print profiles developed in-house to deliver maximum precision and dimensional accuracy, while also saving time and material.
Maximum filament flexibility
Whether PLA, PETG or advanced technical materials, the CORE One delivers outstanding quality. Thanks to the high-flow nozzle, Input Shaper and over 200 tuned print profiles, it prints faster than ever while maintaining proven Prusa quality.
The actively temperature-controlled enclosed print chamber reaches up to 55 °C and creates ideal conditions for consistently high-quality results. This means PLA and PETG can be printed reliably even with the door closed, while more demanding materials such as ASA, PC or nylon can also be processed with confidence. The result: better layer adhesion, less warping and reproducible quality.
Perfect for makers and creative users
The Prusa CORE One+ is a paradise for modders. Everything is screwed together, nothing is glued - giving you maximum freedom for your own ideas. With a simple screwdriver, the printer can be fully disassembled and adapted to your requirements.
For anyone who enjoys physical modifications, the printed parts of the printer offer countless opportunities for customisation.
