Phrozen Heated Resin Vat, Sonic Mighty Revo 16K Max

The Phrozen Heated Resin Vat is a heated resin vat with a 2-litre capacity, a CNC-machined aluminium body and a dual-heating system that works alongside the printer's chamber heater. It replaces the supplied Quick-Release Vat and keeps the resin at a stable operating temperature, even in cooler environments or when using highly viscous engineering resins.

The Heated Resin Vat works in conjunction with the printer's chamber heater. Before printing, the printer brings both the chamber and resin vat up to the set temperature. This helps the resin flow more consistently, reducing the risk of print failures during long print jobs and when using high-viscosity resins. If the temperature drops unexpectedly during printing, the system immediately sends a warning. The heating system operates according to the chamber's temperature status.

The vat is made from CNC-machined aluminium with an anodised finish, providing stability and dimensional accuracy as well as a wear-resistant surface. Aluminium also conducts heat quickly and evenly to the resin inside the vat.

The vat holds 2 litres of resin, with an internal MAX marking indicating the maximum fill level. This provides enough resin for long print jobs without the risk of overfilling. A pouring spout makes transferring and draining resin easier.

► The Heated Resin Vat comes with a pre-installed nFEP film and is ready to use straight away. The film is secured using a conventional frame and screws; there is no quick-release mechanism. For replacements, Phrozen recommends the PFA (nFEP) film specifically designed for the Heated Vat. Alternatively, you can cut film to size and install it yourself. Film designed for the Quick-Release Vat is not compatible due to differences in size and installation.

Care and replacement information: Clean the vat after every print, keep sharp tools away from the film and replace damaged film immediately. Empty the vat before storing it for extended periods. Only wipe it with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth. The heating module and its contacts must remain dry. Replace the vat if it becomes warped, no longer seals properly, has a damaged mounting bracket, shows significant wear or has a faulty heating system.

Important! Do not allow the heating module to get wet. Keep liquids away from the electrical contacts during cleaning and only reinstall the vat once it is completely dry. If the room temperature has been below 15 °C for an extended period, preheat the chamber before printing.
