Description

PLA Pro combines two desirable features: simple printing as with normal PLA material, while its properties are comparable to those of ABS. The Spectrum PLA Pro has a nearly 50% higher impact resistance after printing than ABS material.

PLA Pro material is also characterized by increased flow behaviour.

PLA Pro advantages:

  • Proves to be a great alternative to styrene-based materials
  • Print without heating bed possible
  • Easy removal of the object from the printing plate
  • High strength - comparable to ABS
  • No shrinkage after cooling
  • Non-flammable

Post-processing:

PLA Pro can be post-treated in a heating chamber. After the crystallisation phase, the model is characterized by increased thermal resistance and almost twice as high impact resistance as ABS.

The general instructions for the crystallisation process are in the instructions supplied.

Packaging

The filament is wound up on a clean, transparent spool. Each spool contains information about the type of material, the diameter and the recommended printing temperature. The filament is vacuum-packed with a moisture absorber. A user manual is included in the delivery.

The most popular technology used for 3D printing is FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling). A heated nozzle (hot-end) melts the plastic wire, layering the melted parts.
