Mintion 3D Printer Filter System V1

The Mintion Filtration System V1 is designed to filter out particles, fumes, and odours generated during 3D printing. With its sophisticated 3-stage filter system and a powerful fan, it ensures significantly improved air quality, making it ideal for home setups, offices, workshops, and professional environments.

The system combines multiple filtration technologies for maximum purification performance:

► Pre-filter: removes coarse particles, dust, and hair, extending the lifespan of the main filters.

► HEPA H13 Filter: captures ultra-fine particles produced when printing with PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, or Nylon.

► Activated Carbon Filter: binds VOCs and chemical vapours such as styrene or caprolactam, effectively reducing odours.

The filtration system is specially designed to capture the emissions released while printing various materials:

• PLA / PETG: reduces ultra-fine particles.
• ABS / ASA: minimises VOCs and odours.
• Nylon: reduces harmful emissions.
• TPU: targets formulation-based organic substances.

Powerful Airflow

The integrated centrifugal fan ensures constant air pressure and an efficient throughput of up to 60 m³/h with air speeds reaching 10 m/s. Harmful particles and fumes are reliably extracted without compromising print quality.

Easy Maintenance & Long-lasting Use

Filter modules can be replaced quickly. The recommended replacement intervals depend on the material used and the operating conditions:

► For standard applications (PLA, PETG, blended filaments):

Recommended sequence: Pre-filter → HEPA H13 → Activated Carbon Filter

With approximately 8 hours of daily use, the filter system should be replaced every 3 months. The actual lifespan depends on the material, enclosure conditions, and fan speed. An earlier replacement is recommended if airflow decreases, odours develop, or visible discolouration occurs.

► For VOC-intensive materials (ABS, ASA):

Alternative configuration: HEPA H13 → Activated Carbon → Activated Carbon

In this setup, the pre-filter is replaced by an additional layer of activated carbon to maximise VOC absorption. In dusty environments, it is recommended to keep the pre-filter and replace the activated carbon more frequently.

Installation Note: Due to the housing design, the pre-filter features a half-width foam seal. If the HEPA H13 filter is used as the first stage, the outer foam edge on the intake side must be halved to ensure a correct fit and seal. Please only trim the foam and take care not to damage the filter material.
