Description

Reflecon Tarnish 12 is a volatile matting agent designed to optimise surfaces for optical 3D laser scanning. It creates a uniform, matte coating and enhances scan quality on reflective, glossy or transparent components.

The applied powder layer sublimates within 1–2 hours – depending on object size, temperature and ambient conditions – and evaporates completely without leaving any residue. No subsequent cleaning of the components is required, helping to streamline workflows.

Reflecon Tarnish 12 is particularly suitable for painted surfaces and plastics. The formulation ensures excellent wetting and homogeneous film formation. The product contains solvents and has a characteristic odour.

The application process produces no dust residue, protecting sensitive components such as laser fans. In addition, the coating provides excellent adhesion for marking points and enables residue-free removal at typical film thicknesses.
