Product information & technical details
Description
Spectrum HDPE is one of the world's first HDPE (high-density polyethylene) filaments with an innovative low-warp formula. Traditionally considered difficult to print, Spectrum has completely re-engineered this material! The result is a high-performance technical filament that is extremely resistant, chemically stable, and surprisingly easy to process too.
With a density of only 1.1 g/cm³, Spectrum HDPE is lighter than many technical plastics, yet offers high stiffness and stability. The high Rockwell hardness of 80 HRM, heat resistance of over 110°C, and excellent dimensional accuracy make this filament ideal for durable structures, fixtures, enclosures, and technical functional components.
Thanks to strong layer adhesion and excellent abrasion resistance, you get long-lasting, robust and high-precision prints.
Spectrum HDPE is inherently impact-resistant, crack-resistant, and virtually insensitive to moisture. It resists acids, bases, oils, and many solvents, making it perfect for aggressive industrial and laboratory environments. Additionally, it is UV-stable, flame-retardant, and fully recyclable, making it a sustainable choice for professional applications!
►Suggested applications:
- Chemical-resistant containers and tanks,
- Machine components and guides with high abrasion loads,
- Housings, connections and construction parts,
- Technical components for industrial and laboratory applications,
- Prototypes of lightweight, durable constructions,
- Floating and water-resistant components,
- Cleaning filament for 3D printer maintenance.
